Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Ofuda, the app, and its optional account service. By using Ofuda you agree to them. They are written to be read; if something is unclear, write to ofuda@kiyoshi.dev.

Who provides Ofuda

Ofuda is an independent project run by kiyoshi.dev ("we"). Contact: ofuda@kiyoshi.dev.

Ofuda is in alpha

Ofuda is early software. It can contain bugs, features can change or go away, and we cannot promise it is always available. Keep your own copies of designs that matter to you (Ofuda can export them as files).

Using the app

Your account

What you make stays yours

Your designs, elements, images and uploaded fonts belong to you (or to whoever you got them from). To sync them between your computers, we store them in your account; you allow us to do exactly that and nothing more. We don't publish, share or sell your library, and we don't use it for anything else. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

You are responsible for having the right to use what you put into Ofuda, such as images, logos and fonts. Many fonts allow use on your own computer but not uploading or sharing; check a font's licence before you upload it.

Fair use of the account service

Don't use Ofuda's account service to:

If an account breaks these rules, we can sign it out, block it or delete it, as described in the privacy policy. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first and give you the chance to export your library.

Plans and storage

The account service is free, within the limits of the free plan shown in Ofuda (Sync and storage) and in the privacy policy. If we offer paid plans, their price, what they include and how to cancel are shown before you buy, and separate terms for them apply then. Sometimes we give an account a plan for a limited time, for example for testing; it returns to the free plan when that time ends, and nothing is deleted because of that.

Changes and ending the service

We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page with a new date; changes that matter for you are also announced in Ofuda before they apply. If we ever stop the account service, we announce it in Ofuda at least 30 days ahead so you can export your library. The app keeps working on your computer without an account.

No warranty

Ofuda is provided as it is, without any promise that it suits a particular purpose or works without errors, as far as the law allows.

Liability

We are fully liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not allow liability to be limited. Otherwise, for slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an obligation that is essential for using Ofuda, and then only for the damage typical and foreseeable for that kind of service. Ofuda is free; please keep backups of what matters to you.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you use Ofuda as a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you live in.
